Mickalene Thomas Studio seeks a highly motivated administrative intern. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of arts administration in a fast-paced studio office environment.
Applicants must be organized, responsible and detail-oriented individuals with excellent writing ability, professional phone manner, and strong computer skills.
Applicants with fluency in the following programs will be given priority:
– Database management software such as FileMaker Pro or ArtBase
– Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
– Microsoft Office Suite
Internship responsibilities include office duties such as answering the phones, filing, image cataloging, scanning and retouching images, updating and maintaining databases and website maintenance.
Applicants should be available at least two days per week. The internship program is three months, with the possibility of extension to six months.
