Artistic Intern Collaboraction Theatre Company is seeking an Artistic Intern to work directly under the Artistic Director. Preferred start date is September 1st, 2016. The Intern will assist in all aspects of artistic production including reading scripts, attend rehearsals, and assisting artistic director where needed. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring director or literary manager to obtain a broad range of skills pertaining to production for a small nonprofit theater.
Intern will gain experience in the following areas:
* Developing new theatrical work
* Script assessment
* The curating process
* Working with writers, directors, actors, and designers
* Excellent communication skills
* Reliability and maturity
* Creative problem-solving
* Ability to prioritize and multitask
Part time (10-15 hours) and full time (20-30 hours) positions available. Some daytime and some evening hours may be necessary, depending on production schedule. There is no pay, but great learning opportunities and the possibility of future employment.
Internship may be completed for college credit.
