1. Administrative support for Fundraising Activities 60%
Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters, pledge reminders and other correspondence
Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files, primarily using the Altru database.
Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed
Continually update and correct database records
Conduct preliminary research on donors
Manage aspects of fundraising mailings and events including: preparing in-house mailings, contacting printers, mail-houses and other vendors for quotes; maintaining guest lists and managing registration materials for events
Manage department supply needs
Assemble donor info for events and meetings.
Serve as a point of contact for donor questions
Perform misc one-off duties as assigned/requested both by the direct supervisor and other department members.
2. Annual Auction Participation 30%
Prepare procurement letters
Make follow up calls to the recipients of the procurement letters.
Data entry related to auction participants
Receive and record items donated to the Auction
Manage acknowledgement process
3. Participate as a member of Museum team 10%
Supports program staff with exhibit openings
Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for The Wing to the public
Represent The Wing and the Development Department at museum-wide events (Auction, Lunar New Year)
Take on additional tasks as needed
PERFORMANCE AND SUCCESS MEASURES
Success in supporting senior management
Professionalism and quality of work
Accuracy of fundraising reports and database records
Turnaround time for acknowledgment letters and other stewardship activities
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years work experience or equivalent 3-4 years work experience
Data and analytical skills; experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a customer service sensibility
Self-motivated, results-driven person with a sense of urgency and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Excellent time and project management while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to work some nights and weekends

This is a 40 hour/week salaried position at $28,000-$32,000 DOE. Compensation includes medical, dental, life and disability insurance, paid vacation and sick leave.
