The Lyric Stage Company of Boston, the city’s oldest regional not-for-profit theater, seeks a Director of Individual Giving, responsible for management, oversight, and solicitation of $500K contributed revenue as part of its $2M operating budget. Reporting to the Managing Director, this leadership position works closely with the theater’s Producing Artistic Director and with its 19-member Board of Directors.
This position creates and implements all aspects of the Annual Fund, Leadership Giving, and Planned Giving programs, with special attention to donors giving at the $1,000 leadership level. This includes mail campaigns, design and production of print materials, gift processing and acknowledgement, and personal solicitation calls. The position also requires coordination of events, meetings, programs, and other elements designed to deepen positive relationships with current, lapsed, and prospective donors at all levels.
Specific responsibilities include:
Position will rely on part-time support of box office associates who will aid with data operations and low-level donor relations.
