Minted is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Product Management to join our team. You will develop products / features for the commerce platform, enhance the shopping experience for customers, and drive the roadmap for some of the most exciting, fastest growing categories within Minted’s business.
You will be a highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record in product management. You will be comfortable getting your hands dirty, building a roadmap, and driving features directly with Engineering. You will be passionate about delivering technology that can unleash the creative potential of independent designers / artists and bring those designs to life in a vibrant consumer marketplace as well as creating an amazing user experience that is both functional and elegant, in a style befitting Minted.
This role requires strong leadership and vision, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and technical depth. A strong business acumen is also essential. This position will report to the VP Product Management.
Collaborate with CEO, VP PM, and multiple business stakeholders to develop product strategy and roadmap for the customization and order pipeline experiences. Recommend and champion new projects. Collaborate strongly with cross-functional management to successfully get new project ideas on the roadmap. Write MVP business case for major projects. Create, publish, maintain and deliver multi-year product roadmap.
Identify product needs based on analytics, financial and operational targets and metrics
Gather requirements from Minted customers and internal teams, and translate them into a cohesive execution plan aligned with company goals
Write specifications, prioritize features and bugs, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules
Work with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, User Experience, Operations, Merchandising, Brand, and Marketing to ensure on-time and on-budget product delivery.
Establish metrics to measure effectiveness of product / feature launches and drive ongoing improvements. Partner with Analytics and Engineering to ensure onsite instrumentation. Partner with Analytics to drive customer insights for new products / features and tie insights to business plans and product roadmap.
Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholder priorities to drive development decisions.
Act as product evangelist and implement product management best practices.
Responsible for the hiring and development of a small team of product managers in the future as the team grows. Manage, mentor and lead this team.
Experience and Skills
8+ years of product management experience in consumer e-commerce, marketplace and mobile applications; 4+ years leading product vision and strategy; 3+ years experience managing Product Management teams; experience with physical goods a plus
Proven skills in breaking down complex problems and delivering incremental solutions
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong technical acumen with an ability to evaluate and understand technology solutions
Ability to think at a strategic level and yet be able to dive into details
Demonstrated proficiency in driving data driven product decisions
Results-orientation and proven capability to entirely own complex problems and deliver results regardless of impediments and resourcing
Creative and high-bandwidth problem-solving skills as well as the ability to define a course of action in the face of significant complexity and ambiguity
Capable of thinking cross functionally for impact of decisions to the entire organization
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment and collaborate actively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Experience with integrating software solutions with ecommerce workflows

Computer science degree or equivalent programming experience a plus
