The DUMBO Improvement District is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing and promoting DUMBO, Brooklyn. The BID showcases DUMBO as a world-class destination, advocating on behalf of DUMBO’s businesses, property owners and residents. A critical part of this mission is the programming of DUMBO’s wonderful public spaces; high-quality events and programming draw residents, neighbors, workforce and visitors to the space, enriching the community. The DUMBO Improvement District seeks an Fall Events + Marketing Intern who will work directly with the Director of Marketing and Events on a robust schedule of public programs in the Archway Under the Manhattan Bridge. These include but are not limited to Live at The Archway, a weekly performance series with a live art/pop up gallery component, a large street fair/block party with spectacle components in September, Oktoberfest, Halloween, Tree Lighting and more. In addition, you will assist with marketing, and documenting these events, as well as generally marketing the cool things our partners do in the neighborhood, interviewing neighbors and creating original content for our website, dumbo.is
Minimum 24 hours per week; office hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-6pm, with concerts on Thursdays until 10pm through September. Additional nights and weekends will be required for special events.
