The Center for Art in Wood is a vibrant and growing arts institution on the history and art of woodworking. It offers changing exhibitions, a research library, an international artist in residency, and public programs.
The Center’s library holds 25,000 books, articles, journals, slides, drawings, and archival material preserve the history of wood turning and woodworking and their continuing evolution as a contemporary art form. We are seeking a volunteer or intern with library experience to catalog acquisitions to the collection using the Dewey decimal system and to help build the image collection.
We are located in Old City, Philadelphia, close to public transportation. Wheelchair accessible. Hours are flexible between 10am and 6pm. Credit for coursework or internship programs can be arranged, if needed.
