Drury Lane Theatre’s Marketing internship is designed for an early-career, aspiring arts marketer or a recently-graduated marketing student who is looking to develop a wide range of skills, experiences and connections that will benefit them personally and professionally. Current college students will be considered if their schedule allows.
o Planning engaging posts for multiple social media platforms
o Working with a graphic designer to create marketing materials
o Creating Facebook ads o Creating Google adwords
o Data entry to build customer lists and build relationships with constituents
o Maintaining reports that determine the health of the organization
o Brainstorming new ways to use a GoPro to show off the facility
o Keeping a photo and video archive up to date and organized
o An interest in marketing, especially for theatre, restaurants and on site events
o Customer service experience
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o A friendly disposition and the ability to work with others and independently
o Ability to problem solve
o Data analysis skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail and the ability to learn new software programs quickly
o Graphic design & web design skills a plus
o Attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
This internship requires 16 hours per week, to be broken up as the intern and Director of Marketing decide together at a rate of $150/week.
o FALL/WINTER: This internship is ideally September 5 through to March
o SPRING/SUMMER: This internship is ideally March 12 through September 10.
o 9 MONTH INTERNSHIP We will give preference to a qualified candidate who can commit to September 2 – June 1.
