Tappan, the leading contemporary art space representing and propelling the careers of emerging artists, is seeking a dynamic coordinator in the marketing department with interest/experience in social media, content creation, art, design and storytelling.
The marketing coordinator will create imaginative, understandable and persuasive copy to promote Tappan Collectives brand, artists, products and service to various target markets while maintaining a consistent brand voice. A multi-channel talent, requiring diverse experience in crafting press releases, print and online advertisements, BTL material, social and SEO friendly content and managing social media channels.
Creating monthly social media calendars for Instagram and Facebook
Publishing and creating visual and written content for the website, email campaigns and social
Building relationships with influencers and editorial outlets for product distribution and exposure
Developing and creating product campaigns and targeted press stories
Planning and executing collaborations, partnership events and pop up exhibitions
Enhancing visual and written content to optimize website content and artist profiles online
Working with direct supervisor to identify and establish medium to short term strategic priorities and targets, in line with Tappan Collectives overall business objectives and ensures their successful execution
Implementing initiatives that enables maximum output that fully contributes to the delivery of unit goals
Executes policies and procedures to identify areas of improvement within own function and recommends changes leading to best-practices
Managing, updating and advocating Tappan Collective’s brand identity and voice, ensuring that the brand is always presented in accordance to the guidelines.
Works collaboratively with team members to help plan, write and edit accurate and engaging content, user stories and value propositions that represents the product, service and brand.
Collaborates with creative lead to conceptualize and executes creative and innovative ideas that are conveyed through the use of imagery and impactful headlines; delivered through the line: events, exhibitions advertising (ATL, BTL) and digital campaigns (video, online advertising, social engagement).
Responsible for researching, sourcing, writing and editing original content to communicate messages clearly, concisely and convincingly.
Repurposes, optimizes and delivers content for Tappan Collective’s multi-channel content calendar (SEO friendly website and blog content, social, newsletter) to highlight artist and product launches, arts advisory and educational content.
Responsible for the quality, efficacy and consistency of the output; ensuring content is in line with the brands tone of voice, speaks the audiences’ language and is error free (spelling, usage and grammar).
Partners with team members and stakeholders to shape and evolve the customer and digital experience and identify opportunities for content improvements, additions, and innovations.
SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGEMENT
Manage, maintain and deliver on a multi-channel content calendar (website, social and newsletter) to highlight artist and product launches, advisory and educational content.
Researches and brings the freshest digital creative approaches to acquire, maintain and retain Tappan Collective’s fans, followers and email database of newsletter subscriber by creating strong and compelling content strategies.
Partners with Marketing & Comms, and Agencies to optimize messaging strategy for PR, social, email, website and online advertising.
Lead in acquiring a Social Media’s Influencer Roster.
Degree in Communications, Journalism, English Studies, Advertising or Public Relations
Self-starter, ability to stay focused in an extremely fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent creative writing ability and high editorial standards
Excellent organization and prioritization skills, ability to handle multiple projects across several channels.
Excellent grasp of Social Media: Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Google Tools: Analytics and Adwords
Experience in HTML, CSS, Shopify and/or MailChimp a plus.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience
Preferred industry sector experience: E-commerce, Arts and Culture
