Time period: May to August (flexible with academic year)
The Theatre of Western Springs, a vibrant community theatre entering its 88th season, is looking for interns interested in nonprofit theatre administration. The internship will touch on many aspects of theatre administration. Applicants interested should be seeking a career in theatre or arts administration and looking to gain experience within a non-profit organization. Applicants should be able to work independently and in a team setting, are self-motivated, flexible, and reliable. Applicants should also be confident with Microsoft office products. Applicants will work with the Office Manager and Box Office Manager throughout the course of the internship.
Duties will include
• Assist with subscription campaign
• Create a development plan for obtaining and retaining show sponsors and playbill ads
• Manage patron information and database maintenance
• Create season events on website (no coding experience needed)
Although we are unable to provide a stipend for the internship, interns are urged to seek class credit through their university.
